Rigorous Question  Stems

for

Reading and Writing

With new rigorous standards, the level of questioning must be raised in order for students to be prepared for college and career assessments.

Use these question stems to create your own questions for everyday questioning and summative and formative assessments to ensure you are using higher level questioning with your students.

All the questions are aligned with Webb's Depth of Knowledge.

This is a great resource to help you expose your students to the types of questions that are going to be on NWEA MAP, ISTEP and the upcoming iLearn assessments.
