These exit tickets are a great way to assess what students have learned during the day’s

lesson. They are designed to be quick checks and to take no more than 3 – 5 minutes to

gauge the students’ levels of understanding.

They can be quickly read by the teacher and do not necessarily have to be graded. The completed exit tickets can be used at the beginning of the next class to clarify or review what was done the previous day.

They can determine what needs to be re-taught. They can also be used to place students into groups based on their levels of understanding.

(Note: the stars on each ticket are for students to assess their level of understanding on a scale of 1 – 5.)
