Language Arts News Letter
Week of August 22nd

The English Department's meeting schedule is now posted on the front page of the Language Arts Portal.

The English/Language Arts Assessment Vocabulary for grades 6-8 has been published by the DOE. The purpose of the Assessment Vocabulary list is to highlight vocabulary used in assessment items that teachers can use to prepare students for ISTEP+ as well as to create classroom assessments. I have created a presentation with definitions and examples of usage for you to use in your classes. On the last slide, you will find resources to use with the presentation.
