3 Ways to Help Your Students Fall in Love with Books

1. Let them read what they want —

Let kids read what catches their eye and ignites their imagination as they build their relationship with books.

2. Help them find favorite authors —

A great way to research wonderful authors is to look up the Newbery and Caldecott book awards (a quick Google search away).

3. Read young adult novels and share with your students through book talks —

Above all, you’ve got to build a culture of literacy in your classroom.   Telling them, “Reading is important!” is virtually meaningless, unless your students know you are reading with them.
